Metech International enters into agreement with Centillion

United States / Singapore | Electronic waste recycler Metech International, Inc. announces that it has entered into an agreement to be acquired by Centillion Environment and Recycling Ltd of Singapore for US$22 million (€16.1 million).

US company Metech, headquartered in Worcester, Massachusetts, operates facilities in California, Massachusetts, Malaysia, and Thailand. Centillion Environment and Recycling, a Singapore public listed company, has electronic recycling operations in the United Kingdom and China, and operates a joint venture company in Singapore with Veolia Environmental Services Asia Pte Ltd, which is known as Centeonyx.

Eddie Chang, Chairman of Centillion: ‘Metech has over 35 years of experience in the electronics recycling and precious metals refining business. They handled over almost 6 million kilos of materials in 2006 and 8.5 million kilos of materials in 2007, which is a testament of their capabilities in this area.’
