Startech sells plasma cenverter to UK
by Editorial staff. October 04, 2007
Startech Environmental Corporation of Wilton, Connecticut, USA, has sold a Plasma Converter System - the first in Europe - to Plasma Processing Technologies Ltd of England and Wales. The 20 000 pound per day system is scheduled for start-up in 2008.

Startech Environmental is an environment and energy industry company engaged in the production and sale of proprietary plasma processing equipment which safely and economically handles wastes - no matter how hazardous - and turns most of it into useful and valuable products. The system adopts closed-loop elemental recycling to destroy municipal solid waste, organics and inorganics, solids, liquids and gases, hazardous and non-hazardous waste and industrial by-products, as well as e-waste, medical waste, chemical industry waste and other speciality wastes. Its many commercial applications include the production of ‘green electrical power’, gas-to-liquid (GTL) fuels such as ethanol, synthetic diesel fuel and other higher-alcohol ‘alternative’ fuels.
