Eldan celebrates its golden jubilee
by Editorial staff. June 01, 2006
Founded on March 15 1956, Eldan Recycling A/S of Faaborg, Denmark, is currently celebrating its 50th anniversary.

The company began by producing scrap shears for cutting scrap iron before developing strippers for retrieving copper and aluminium from scrap cables. In 1978-79, the firm sold its first ‘Mini Plant’ for recycling cables; since then, it has gone on to supply complete systems and solutions to suit specific customer requirements for the recycling of scrap cables, electronic and electrical scrap, industrial scrap, aluminium/magnesium, tyres and municipal solid waste.

Eldan Recycling has sold more than 660 complete plants and 6000 single machines worldwide. The company is represented by agents in 47 countries; indeed, it established its first subsidiary company in USA earlier this year, namely Eldan Inc.
