The British Metals Recycling Association (BMRA) has appointed Neil Marshall as its new Director General as from March 1 2003. Mr Marshall joins the BMRA after six years as Director General of the Confederation of British Metalforming (CBM), where he merged trade associations covering the forging and fastener sectors to form the Confederation of British Forgers, which subsequently absorbed the British Metalforming Trades Association to form the CBM. Previously, Mr Marshall had been Policy Director and Director of External Affairs at the Retail Motor Industry Federation where his responsibilities had included the formulation and delivery of all external policies.

* S. Norton & Co

Metals recycling company S.Norton & Co Ltd of Liverpool, U.K., has secured the services of David Hulse, formerly Director General of the British Metals Recycling Association, as its Public Affairs Advisor. His principal role will be to help the company deal with the many issues facing the industry today, such as the EU End of Life Vehicles Directive and the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive.
