European Union | The European glass recycling industry has now been organised and represented by a new organisation - FERVER (Fédération Européenne des Recycleurs de Verre). The association - comprising 22 members from 10 European countries - met recently for its first congress in Brussels. Its members include representatives of glass producers and European organisations like FEAD, FEVE, ProEurope and Glass for Europe.
FERVER says its members recycle 63 per cent of the glass collected in Europe and operate 51 of the 102 recycling plants located there. The headquarters of Ferver will be in Brussels, Belgium.
