Finland / China | Machinery builder Metso is celebrating the inauguration of its new service centre in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, China. The new greenfield centre has been operational since November and provides advanced services to the pulp and paper industry in Southern China, according to Metso.
The site has a fully-equipped workshop capable of supplying rolls, roll covers and mechanical roll maintenance services for all makes and sizes of pulp and paper machinery. The centre also offers a comprehensive range of spare parts and mill site services.
The Finnish company has further strengthened its presence in South East Asia by setting up new company Metso Vietnam Co. Its office is located to the north-west of the Vietnamese capital Ho Chi Minh City and will be shared by all three Metso segments: Paper and Fibre Technology; Energy and Environment Technology; and Mining and Construction Technology.
