by Editorial Staff. October 22, 2008
China | A new market report analyses the Chinese tyre renovation and recycling market from aspects such as industry development state, market demands, equipment production and competitions. The report is issued and conducted by a market researching & consulting company named China Research & Intelligence (33report) in Shanghai, China.

In 2007, the outputs of Chinese tire manufacturing industry was 556 million, including 330 million automobile tires. By the end of 2007, auto holdings of China had reached 57 million with 170 million discarded tires. Like the development of auto industry itself, the quantities of discarded tires present a trend of swift growth. According to the research agency, the tire renovation industry becomes attractive because of large quantities of discarded tires and the continuous growth of tire outputs.

The usage of renovated tires equals 60%-80% to new tires. The quality of a renovated tire with pre-vulcanization approaches a new tire while it is only the equivalent of 15%-30% in the consumption of raw materials of a new tire in the same standard, 20%-30% in consumption of power and 80% in price. Currently, major process methods of discarded tires in China include tire renovation, production of renewable plastic and powder production.
