United Kingdom | One of the world�s largest metal recyclers, European Metal Recycling (EMR), has confirmed the acquisition of fellow UK company Mountstar Metal Corp. The take-over of the non-ferrous metal trader and manufacturer follows EMR�s purchase of four US companies in February this year.
Warrington-based EMR was founded in 1994 by Manchester�s Sheppard Group; it employs 14 000 people and operates at 65 locations, with liaison offices around the world. Mountstar was established through the merger of several small scrap metal traders and recyclers.
