Goudsmit’s Metron metal detector
by Editorial staff. January 01, 2006
The Metron metal detector from Dutch company Goudsmit Magnetic Systems is designed to remove pieces of metal from products being transported along a belt.

The detector is made entirely of stainless steel and can be cleaned using high pressure. If a metal particle passes the coil, then the detector recognises it and gives an acoustic signal that either stops the belt or activates a mechanism to eject the piece of metal in question. Different ejector systems are available depending on the product.

Also from Goudsmit, the Quicktron metal detector removes pieces of metal from products flowing through a free-fall line. With this device, the signal from the detection coil is linked to an ejector flap which automatically ejects the piece of metal.
