Product news | SiCon GmbH of Germany has introduced the EcoShred range of shredders for the e-waste recycling market. Designed specifically for small and medium-sized recycling companies, these machines guarantee high efficiency on a very low investment, according to the manufacturer.
The EcoShred range is capable of processing mixed scrap with a thickness of up to some 8 mm at a throughput rate of approaching 15 tonnes per hour. Prior to separation, a rotary shear is used together with a vertical shredder to compact the waste; dust control measures meet all legal requirements, the company emphasises. During the development of these machines, particular attention was paid to minimising wear costs and to ease of maintenance, it adds.
According to SiCon, the EcoShred range can be complemented with other company recycling machinery such as the Polyfloat system for the separation of all kinds of plastics.
